Lithium batteries have been widely applied in many uses to date, including telecommunications, national power grids and other networked systems. These network power applications require higher standards on batteries: higher energy density, more compact dimensions, longer service times, easier maintenance, improved high temperature stability, a lighter weight, and a higher reliability.
